Salt Lake City ComicCon 2017 is over and done and it was just as enjoyable as the one before and the one before that. My yearly ‘family’ pilgrimage to one of the top 5 largest ComicCon’s in the United States pulled off without a hitch. And although I did not get the opportunity to sit in on any panels, the vendors, cosplay and cosplay contest more than adequately satisfied my geeky hunger! Here are some photos of the event.

Although we only attended the Saturday event (which is the most popular day to attend), we were able to cover the entirety of the convention floor. Having been to the event several times, there were many familiar vendor displays but like every con, there were many new ones as well.

We even got a chance to see actor John Barrowman (Arrow, Doctor Who, Torchwood), roll past us, through the crowd, standing atop a golf cart and filming surprised yet excited fans. A very cool moment indeed.

The cosplay contest was just as energetic and fun as previous years, although the ‘expert’ category was much smaller than before. Surprisingly, one of the most amazing contestants was a ‘Mary Poppins’ cosplayer in the ‘novice’ category who came on stage to the hit song ‘Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious‘ and had the entire audience clapping away, fully engaged. fun times!

All in all, the show did not disappoint and already, I eagerly await Salt Lake ComicCon 2018. Nice job Salt Lake!
